This classic design is seen throughout Nepal in various forms. As pictured, the Marwari is especially popular among Sherpa and Rai women in Solukhumbu district – an area of eastern Nepal that is home to Mt Everest as well as to sacred forests, alpine lakes and lush hills.
Similar to the Sinkhwa Necklace and Kalli Cuff, the Marwari design incorporates symbolic animal heads designed to protect the wearer, combined with patterns of foliage.
The earrings are available in Medium and Large. They can also be gold plated on request.
